Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.DUTIES: Assist data owners to build data modernization roadmaps for data estate. Help with modernization of data using standard vocabularies, enhanced identifiers, descriptive and structure metadata, open media formats, and other documented best practices. Perform data modeling to build data models across multiple portfolios within the firm. Assist in identifying and applying standard vocabularies to leverage for data models. Identify what parts of data need enhanced identifiers. Provide guidance on how these identifiers can be defined with the processes established internally within the firm. Work with stakeholders to examine information regarding structural and descriptive metadata within the firm. Assist with the creation and publication of structural and descriptive metadata when unavailable and work with stakeholders to ensure they are of good quality. Utilize metadata to better perform data modeling and analytics on the firm’s key data. Provide recommendations to stakeholders on which open media formats to use for their respective data sets. Work with products to incorporate data consumer feedback to enhance data being published. Establish training content and launch trainings related to data modernization. Identify and work with external vendors to onboard them for data modernization training. Facilitate parts of the training session to ensure capability building on data modernization. Identify platform and process bottlenecks for data modernization and mitigate them. Deliver communications on data modernization to stakeholder groups including product teams. Take lead on reporting the status of data modernization. This position requires up to 20% domestic travel.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Information Technology and Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Product Strategy - Data Modernization and Cloud, Data & Integration Platforms Manager, Data Analyst, Senior Analytics Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Product Strategy - Data Modernization and Cloud, Data & Integration Platforms Manager, Data Analyst, Senior Analytics Associate, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: Data & Analytics; Digital transformation projects; data related initiatives; advanced analytics including data wrangling and data modeling; Business and Technology stakeholder management; understanding of how data is structured, designed, and stored; Business and Technology domains; technology and tools related to data such as AWS, Collibra, Alteryx, SQl, or Tableau; project management in Agile methodology; end-to-end program management of large scale projects; and financial services or retail banking industry.
