JPMorgan Chase Planning and Analysis, Lead Product Owner - Executive Director in Jersey City, New Jersey

Join our dynamic Finance function, a critical player in an evolving business landscape shaped by regulatory and capital requirements. Our team, including Planning & Analysis, CFO teams, Controllers, Business Managers, and Project Management, is at the forefront of innovation and transformation. We're seeking a skilled product manager to help develop next-gen digital products on our modern, cloud-based platform. One of our key products is FRAME, a cloud-native application offering intuitive, self-service analytics and modelling capabilities for a range of professionals including Data Analysts, Business Developers, and Data Scientists.

As a Planning and Analysis, Lead Product Owner - Executive Director within the P&A Innovation & Transformation function, you will play a critical role in defining and communicating the product vision and strategy aligned with our business goals. You will develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritize features based on business value and customer needs, and oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to post-launch optimization. You will work closely with engineers and data scientists to develop products using cloud-based tools and analyze large data sets to extract insights and trends. You will also lead and mentor a team of product managers and other professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Job responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy aligned our business goals, incorporating emerging technologies and trends.

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritize features based on business value and customer needs, and oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to post-launch optimization.

  • Advocate for the customer by ensuring products meet user needs and deliver exceptional experiences, while gathering and analyzing feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Understand agile software development processes and work closely with engineers and data scientists to develop products using cloud-based tools (e.g., AWS, Databricks, MLFlow, Python).

  • Analyze large data sets to extract insights and trends, define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), and use data-driven insights to optimize product performance.

  • Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives, acting as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.

  • Communicate clearly and persuasively to various audiences, providing regular updates and gathering feedback to ensure alignment and support.

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and other professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and providing guidance for the team's success and professional growth.

  • Ensure products comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, while identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development and deployment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • MS/MBA degree or equivalent experience

  • 15+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of leading successful product initiatives.

  • Ability to set and manage accountabilities and expectations at all levels - team members, peers, business partners and senior management

  • Proficiency in statistical and machine learning techniques, with the ability to apply these methods to financial forecasting and risk assessment.

  • Strong technical skills, including experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS, and familiarity with data visualization tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.

  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

  • High level of adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
