JPMorgan Chase Payments Digital Channels - Product Manager - Developer Portal Commercialization - Vice President in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Product Manager in the Digital Channels and Connectivity organization, you are an integral member of the team responsible for innovating new product offerings and delivering amazing client experiences. You will serve as the commercialization lead for the Payments Developer Platform ("PDP"). Influencing technical buyers is a strategic focus for J.P. Morgan, and a specific area of focus for the Payments business. The Payments Developer Platform is Payments' strategic platform connecting technical personas to our products and solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the Payments Developer Platform's commercialization strategy and vision that delivers value to customers

  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap

  • Owns, maintains, and develops the commercialization backlog that supports the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition

  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability

  • Guide the Payments Developer Platform through internal ready-to-launch activities, ensuring compliance with the firm's regulatory requirements as the Platform scales to support new businesses, use-cases, and markets

  • Generate market-facing sales and marketing material to be leveraged by Sales teams when communicating the value-proposition of the Payments Developer Platform; Identify training opportunities and collaborate with functional leads to develop training programs to satisfy the organizational needs

  • Responsible for internal product communications, including platform updates, newsletters, product cabinets, and various executive forum updates

  • Facilitate monthly product cabinets to highlight key program information, demonstrate product launches and features, provide updates on the platform roadmap, review progress against objectives and key performance indicators, provide updates on the go-to-market strategy and key marketing activities, and genera feedback from the developer community and research initiatives

  • Communications lead for the Payments Developer Platform; responsible for adapting messages to difference audiences, inviting diverse perspectives, and facilitating constructive debate to make more inclusive decisions

  • Collaborate extensively across teams to leverage product expertise to ensure the needs of our clients, customers, and stakeholders are being satisfied

  • Generate ideas and prioritize content for publication on the public platform, including blogs, promotional modals, and product updates

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, commercialization, innovation, corporate strategy, or a relevant domain

  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle

  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management

  • Strong understanding of commercialization and corporate strategy activities

  • Proactive communicator

  • Ability to lead meetings with diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams to execute on joint projects

  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions

  • Proficiency with agile frameworks

  • Demonstrate the ability to produce clear and concise product artifacts conveying product strategy to executive and granular requirements for developers

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Project management skills including ability to manage work across multiple competing priorities and to clearly organize and oversee workstreams

  • Product management experience for technical products built for engineers (e.g., APIs, frameworks, infrastructure) or other technical personas

  • Prior experience working with APIs and/or developer portals

  • Industry experience in Payments

  • Experience with business-to-business (B2B) digital marketplaces

  • Experience with Financial Technology

  • Experience with technical product design

  • Demonstrated experience leading product and engineering teams using the agile methodology
