Manager of Sales Opera tion s - Reporting and Analytics

What will you do?

Lead our sales operations team, providing key reporting and analytics to our sales leaders and executive team. This role is pivotal in driving support functions essential to sales force productivity, including sales strategy effectiveness, forecast planning, sales process optimization, and self-service report training. The position reports to the VP/GM (Americas Packs) and is a hybrid position working 3 days a week at our Jersey City, New Jersey headquarters and 2 days from home.

  • Lead a sales operations team that provides key reporting and analytics, including weekly, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.

  • Serve as the liaison between sales, product, operations, and finance to drive strategic efficiencies for growth in revenue and margin.

  • Develop Power BI data models for reporting that support self-service and automate workflows.

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new BI tools and processes across all departments.

  • Continually investigate ways to improve the team’s efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Generate insights and present findings to senior management to suggest business recommendations.

  • Manage the consolidation of Global Packs Americas (Kipling, Jansport, Eastpak) reporting, forecasting, and data analysis processes across channels (Wholesale, DTC, Ecom) and brands.

  • Oversee the analysis of sales trends to identify volume products and propose methods to increase market share.

  • Improve accuracy of Go to Market (GTM) and measurement to Plan, partnering with the Sales team to establish sales processes.

  • Work globally to align GTM processes to continuously find ways to improve the business.

  • Perform ad hoc reporting when needed.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for all reporting and analytics tools.

  • Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.

  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide updates.

  • Provide training and support to cross-functional team members as needed.

  • Lead and manage project activities, ensuring they are completed on time.

  • Analyze and approve sales commissions for accuracy.

What do you need to succeed?

The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement attitude, the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems, and a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency of sales reporting and analytics.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Operations, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of related professional experience.

  • Working knowledge of how retail and sales reps operate.

  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and general database management concepts.

  • Familiarity with SPS Commerce, SharePoint, IBM COGNOS.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn SQL and Python.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal capabilities with the ability to effectively work across functions and levels.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

  • Experience in translating business needs into data strategies, financial models, and BI solutions

Hiring Range :

$82,720.00 USD - $103,400.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
