JPMorgan Chase Central Controls Business Management Vice President in Jersey City, New Jersey

This is a high-impact opportunity on our Finance & Business Management team ensuring senior management across Control Management & Firmwide Resiliency have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics, financials and data insights to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a Business Manager Vice President within the Central Control Management Project & Business Management team, you will support the Central Control Management & Firmwide Resiliency organizations. You will manage all aspects of reporting and infrastructure support through the reporting and detailed analysis of business data. This position allows you to combine deep data insight and a strong analytics skill set to identify and deliver solutions for the Control Management organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and provide reporting for infrastructure and projects such as recruiting, headcount metrics, Real Estate, conflicts datasets etc.

  • Support the business in tracking P&L, expenses, headcount, and various other key metrics on an ongoing basis

  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, explain results and variances, track against targets, and ensure profitability goals are achieved

  • Gather, analyze, and present data to facilitate decision-making and business progression using tools such as Alteryx and Tableau

  • Calculate and consolidate month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years

  • Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and provide commentary explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets.

  • Provide support for ad hoc analysis, data collection, and reporting as well as provide ad hoc support to senior leadership (e.g. Business Reviews)

  • Collaborate & Build strong partnerships with Business stakeholders & Technology teams to support data quality efforts

  • Develop best in class Dashboards/visualizations to generate actionable insights

  • Demonstrate good understanding of data governance framework, data quality & data lineage

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field

  • Financial services industry background with specific experience in finance, Business Management , data analysis or reporting

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver results

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with large complex data sets, drawing conclusions, and reporting findings

  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from inception to completion

  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically.

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability.
