As the Assistant Buyer, you will partner with the Senior Buyer to ensure that the product assortments resonate with consumers to meet or exceed sales plan. You will be given the opportunity to work with the merchandising team to build a seasonal line and place buys that fulfill customer demand, market trends, brand direction and fiscal obligations.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Partner with the Senior Buyer to create assortments for owned site

  • Consistently analyze the business to ensure we are hitting sales plans including gross margin goals & help to make recommendations that will drive the business forward

  • Manage all purchase orders by season ensuring that cost, retail & units received are accurate

  • Manage organization of all eCommerce samples including unpacking, sorting & pulling for photo shoots/internal meetings

  • Responsible for uploading & maintaining pricing across owned site & marketplaces ensuring accuracy

  • Partner with the creative team to ensure product chosen for campaigns features largest investments & aligns with brand vision

  • Partner with site coordinator to QA site during promotions and new product launches. Ensure merchandising reflects top investments in order to hit topline sales goals.

How you will do it:

  • Build a strong relationship with the merchandising team to collaborate on assortment strategy and apply current selling trend to support future buys.

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners including but not limited to planning, marketing & store teams .

Skills for Success

Years of related professional experience: 2+ years in buying, eCommerce preferred.

What we expect you already know:

  • 2+ years buying experience, including retail math knowledge with basic understanding of budgeting & forecasting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail & strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and interpret sales data

  • An understanding of the fashion industry & current market trends

What we will teach you:

  • AS400, Business Intelligence systems

Hiring Range :

$61,600.00 USD - $77,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
