Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements, fixed asset reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and bank/credit card reconciliations. Manage full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable with a strong focus on vendor management. Assist external auditors with year-end audit processes. Prepare job cost requisitions, capital calls, and advance requests. Conduct financial statement analysis and record journal entries. Review and analyze revenue and expenditure accounts for completeness and prepare financial statements. Allocate employee payroll for a portfolio of properties. Review monthly budget to actuals and prepare variance explanations. Prepare weekly cash waterfall reports and determine capital call amounts. Reconcile escrow balances and conduct due diligence for loan refinancing. Oversee the completion of ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed for the Managing Partner. Maintain operating expenses within budget. Manage basic financial matters, such as bill payments, collecting receivables, maintaining financial records, and handling banking matters. Maintain all accounting in Excel and QuickBooks. Create, organize, maintain, and track the timelines of all current inventory and future business development activities. Remind Principal of key decision points along the critical paths of each project. Requirements Competencies Required: Minimum of 7-10 years of detail oriented accounting experience in real estate development or construction. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Extensive knowledge of real estate accounting, including residential, commercial, and partnership accounting. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and AppFolio; knowledge of Northspyre is a plus.
