Overview: As a Global Benefits Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the overall employee experience by ensuring competitive and comprehensive benefits offerings across different regions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to design, communicate, and administer benefits programs that attract, retain, and support a diverse workforce. A successful candidate will have experience in U.S., EMEA, APAC, LATAM and Canada benefit programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Strategy and Design:

  • Develop and execute a global benefits strategy aligned with the organization’s overall goals and values.

  • Evaluate existing benefit plans and propose enhancements or changes based on market trends, cost-effectiveness, and employee needs.

  • Research and benchmark benefits practices across industries and geographies.

  • Program Implementation and Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks.

  • Collaborate with HR, legal, finance, and payroll teams to ensure seamless administration and compliance.

  • Monitor program performance, utilization, and employee satisfaction.

  • Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with benefit providers, brokers, and consultants.

  • Where appropriate, create and execute Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for benefit providers or consultants.

  • Negotiate contracts, evaluate service levels, and assess vendor performance.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging benefit solutions.

  • Communication and Education:

  • Develop clear and engaging communication materials (such as benefit guides, webinars, and FAQs) to educate employees about available benefits.

  • Conduct regular benefits orientations and workshops.

  • Address employee inquiries related to benefits.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure benefits programs comply with local, national, and international regulations.

  • Stay up-to-date on legal changes affecting benefits (e.g., Affordable Care Act, GDPR, etc.).

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze benefits utilization data, cost trends, and employee feedback.

  • Provide insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.

  • Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in benefits management in a global context.

  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations, compliance, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and customer-focused.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in benefits (e.g., CEBS, CBP) is advantageous.

  • Experience with global mobility and expatriate benefits.

  • Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.

    Physical and Mental Job Qualifications:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
