Maintenance Technician - Jeffersonville, Indiana

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will support equipment and manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing-related equipment. The role also involves supporting equipment changeovers/setups and managing inventory of maintenance-related supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required service and preventative maintenance on all machines and plant equipment.

  • Work with other team members and/or management to resolve departmental or company-wide issues and implement new programs, procedures, and policies.

  • Promote and maintain a positive team environment.

  • Participate in equipment modifications, installations, or projects.

  • Assist machine operators with equipment changeovers and setups as needed to support manufacturing operations.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and the facility to identify and report issues to management.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, cleaning the work area at the end of each shift.

  • Keep management and other team members informed of progress, issues, and/or concerns.

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety practices, recognize hazards, and perform necessary corrections.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Fabrication and mechanical aptitude.

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Troubleshooting skills in electrical, controls, PLCs, and drives using test equipment.

  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work orders, and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and be flexible with work priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • CNC machining, fabrication, and resistance/GMAW welding skills preferred.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to mechanical blowers and rotating equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled facility on the first shift from 6am-2:30pm, with occasional shifts from 5:30am-2pm.
