Amatrol, Inc. Accounts Payable Specialist in Jeffersonville, Indiana

What you'll be doing:

  • Complete three-way matching of invoices, receivers, and purchase orders, and ensure coding is present on all invoices prior to batch entry.
  • Complete check runs for all accounts payable, refund and miscellaneous checks weekly to maximize days to pay, discounts earned, and cash flow requirements.
  • Review vendor statements and research and resolve any vendor issues as they arise.
  • Organize and match returns paperwork prior to entering debit memos.
  • Cross training in other accounting duties.
  • Keep all filing up-to-date and organized.

What you need to get the job:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills on phone, in writing and in person.
  • Some accounting experience or background.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers with experience in the use of such programs as Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to type and enter data at a reasonable speed.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
