Oracle Product Manager/Strategy 1-ProdDev in Jefferson City, Missouri

Job Description

The Oracle Database Product Management team is looking for a Technical Program Manager. In this role, you will use your technical and leadership expertise to create, scale and execute technical programs that are well-defined under supervision.

  • You will create, lead and execute many programs to scale Oracle DB across a global and vibrant community of developers

  • You will work on gathering developer stories, solutions and use cases, as well as go-to-market strategies and coordination of launches of new products and features

  • Assist with designing and building technical content, such as hands-on-labs, and real-world use cases for application development/full stack engineering and cloud-native services, such as OKE, Functions, API gateway, and other relevant technology / tools that developers require

  • Assist with creating community content such as blogs and videos for use on YouTube

Minimum requirements

  • 1+ year experience with development and implementing technical programs preferred

  • 1+ year experience with product management preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels

  • Analytical and solution-oriented background, with great people skills and structured problem solving capabilities

Preferred qualifications

  • Technical background strongly preferred

  • Proficiency with Agile/Scrum and software development lifecycle preferred

  • Proficiency with JIRA/Confluence preferred

  • Proficiency with HTML and markdown preferred

  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills

  • You must display a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically

  • Experience with planning and scaling roadmaps and release calendars for large organizations preferred

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $53,700 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
