Join our Parents Supporting Parents team as a Parent Partner! Here at PSG/CIP, we are a community-based social services organization dedicated to helping families achieve their greatest potential. As a Parent Partner, you\'ll be an essential member of the Parents Supporting Parents program, working to elevate parent voice and involvement to support local and state policy and systems change. The Parent Partner supports and mentors families who have had their children placed in out-of-home care, sharing lived experiences to help guide families through the process. If you have successfully exited the CPS system after having had your child(ren) placed in out-of-home care, you could be the perfect candidate for this role. We\'re looking for passionate and committed individuals skilled in listening, providing guidance, and sharing hope with families in the CPS system. Join our team today and make a meaningful impact on the lives of families in our community! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARENT PARTNER: Maintain regular, face-to-face contact with the parent. Meet with the Ongoing CPS Professional and the family together as needed or when requested by the family. Attend meetings with parents as needed as part of their case plan; examples include: court, school, family team meetings, coordinated service teams, or meetings with other providers. Support and empower the parent to make changes, advocate for and communicate their needs, and help them find solutions and a pathway towards positive change. Be open in supervision and monthly group meetings about the challenges that come up in your work and your own journey towards health and wellbeing. Tell your story and share your experiences (as comfortable) to advocate for local and state shifts in perspective, values, and attitudes about children, youth, and adults served within the system. Provide community outreach and education on the Parents Supporting Parents program to build community support, awareness, and participation as needed. LOCATION: Position is based at our Janesville, Wisconsin office with local travel required to meet with clients within the home and other community spaces (with mileage reimbursement). Must be able to meet in-person with clients in Rock County, Wisconsin.
