Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Our company designs, manufactures, and powder coats metal fuel tanks, skids, frames, trailers, and other related products. The specific product the assemblers will be building houses data generators for companies like Facebook, Google, and Apple.

Responsibilities

  • Team lifting panels to slide into the frames (50+ lbs).

  • Using hand and power tools to assemble sides and panels of the frames together.

  • Performing hand assembly tasks such as putting nuts on bolts.

  • Cutting insulation using a utility knife and installing it into the frames.

  • Using basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

  • Cross-training with the paint department.

  • Performing other duties as needed.

  • Climbing ladders/platform stairs for certain assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools.

  • 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing/assembly experience.

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and quality inspection tools.

  • Basic blueprint reading and tape measure skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments, preferably metal.

  • Experience with air tools.

  • Advanced blueprint and tape measure experience for higher-level assembler roles.

Work Environment

First shift operates Monday through Thursday from 4:00am to 2:00pm and second shift is Monday through Thursday 2:00pm-12am. Employees may volunteer for additional shifts on Fridays and Saturdays once they are trained. The work involves being part of a team of 4-5 people, and requires climbing ladders or platform stairs for some tasks. The facility maintains a team-oriented atmosphere. There is also a second shift, Monday through Thursday from 2:00pm to 12:00am. There is also a $3 shift premium on 2nd shift.

Location & Pay

This is a position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin. Pay ranges from $19-25/hr, depending upon experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00
