Job Description: Material Administrator

To assist the Materials Department to World Class. This position is responsible for the administration of materials Data collection, reporting and analysis. The Materials Administrator will improve the department and themselves through training and continuing education.

1. Responsible for receiving/shipping data collection for metrics and reporting

2. Monitor to meet goal expectations with the following: UORS, variance, and maintain in- transit within 24 hours with a work here list and work ASSN list.

3. Maintain material in STAGING REC 99 (material with no default locator) within 24 hours.

4. Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and achieving inventory goals including counts and reconciliation

5. Generate and compile High Dollar count information including counts and reconciliation to present to Manager weekly.

6. Assist In the monitoring and measurements to meet all materials goals.

7. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the data in the systems as well as measurements of all areas in materials.

8. Entering all inventory adjustments and continually improving and driving the reduction of inventory adjustments.

9. Responsible for updating the uncontrollable items - with lists- Daily weekly, monthly counts using proper forms and following the uncontrollable parts process.

10. Provide assistance with ISO procedures and work instructions.

11. Processing negatives to Goal

12. Responsible for all materials functions including working cross functionally within the plant as well as with other departments such as Finance, ME, Quality etc.

13. Assist the materials team and leadership in achieving the budget in materials, supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime and operational expenses.

14. Reconcile material issues and define root cause of any material variances.

15. Responsible to work all error lists associated with receiving/shipping and transfer demands beyond original facility.

Additional Responsibilities:

I Maintain knowledge and working cross functionally with other departments in materials.

2. Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures, and processes.

3. Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing and 5's programs for materials and engage the 5P's (prior planning prevents poor performance}.

4. Other duties as assigned/developed

Requirements

Experience/Knowledge (Preferred Experience/Knowledge Only)

Exceptional Excel Skills with Analytical strengths

Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment

Previous manufacturing experience an asset

Education (Preferred Education only)

AP/CS Certification or currently enrolled in the APICS program

Hourly rate $24.00
