Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Jamaica, New York

Description

We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in Jamaica, New York. As an integral part of our organization, you will be tasked with financial analysis, budgeting, and overseeing all accounting functions. This role is instrumental in the development and execution of financial strategies that support the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly Profit and Loss (P& L), customer profitability reports, budgets and interim forecasts which includes monitoring daily performance, analyzing operating results and making recommendations that will optimize facility profitability

• Responsible for the complete and accurate customer accounting and financial reporting

• Develop and maintain effective internal audit process which ensure unit compliance to accounting policies and procedures

• Develop and ensure robust inventory process and reporting

• Responsible for identifying cost and revenue opportunities which will support financial goals

• Accurate and timely monthly reporting, budgeting, and update of financial forecasting

• Monitor daily performance, analyze operating results, and make recommendations to optimize profitability.

• Responsible for the complete and accurate customer accounting and financial reporting.

• Develop and ensure robust inventory processes and reporting.

• Identify cost and revenue opportunities that support financial goals.

• Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of monthly financial reports, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance/accounting related role

• Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting

• Experience with profit and loss management

• Familiarity with accounting functions and best practices

• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements

• Experience in financial forecasting and prediction of financial trends

• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant certifications would be advantageous

• Familiarity with finance software and systems

• Ethical behavior and professionalism in handling confidential information

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
