GDIT is seeking a full-time Senior ServiceNow Developer to be an important part of our existing development team. The environment is in the cloud, and we are actively using modules within the ITSM, ITBM, ITOM & SecOps suites. This position can be 100% remote and has no anticipated end date. This role is part of a 200+ person team supporting CMS’s HIGLAS Hosting, Operations & Maintenance (HOM) program. The ServiceNow team consists of 9-12+ teammates. The customer has a strong appetite for innovation, automation and leveraging much of the ServiceNow platform. If you have strong technical skills and a natural desire to learn, then this position and team may be a good fit for you.
Serve as key ServiceNow application developer responsible for implementing using best practices as pertains to workflow, integration, configuration, customization, automation, access controls, Service Catalog, etc.
Ensure overall systems availability via good design/best practices, thorough testing, promotion discipline and responsiveness in root cause analysis.
Partner with leadership to maintain and drive towards an aggressive platform roadmap.
Demo platform capabilities to shape what is possible/recommended, not simply taking orders; rapidly prototype new solutions.
Interact with platform stakeholders and translate their business requirements into actionable development tasks, as a complement to our business analyst.
Reliably estimate relative work effort for various requests for self/team to enable prioritization.
Prepare and execute unit test cases and test scripts; support user acceptance testing.
Proactively stay on top of new capabilities in the platform and educate team members and customers.
Proactively maintain related operational documentation and SOPs to reduce support risk & inefficiency.
Ensure your work is retained and reconciled with ongoing environment cloning, patching and upgrades.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies. Likely once every 4-6 weeks.
Accountability to own and deliver the work assigned to you according to the timeline.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Solid developer experience independent of the ServiceNow platform, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Solid skills using the ServiceNow platform: perform advanced customizations including business rules, UI policies, client scripts, script includes, UI actions, UI pages, UI macros, workflow, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, reporting, database views, Performance Analytics, ATF, etc.
Candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Application Developer (CAD) on a recent SN platform release and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a primary ServiceNow developer on a mature installation.
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) on a recent SN platform release and/or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a primary ServiceNow implementer on a mature installation.
Certified Application Specialist (CAS) on a recent SN platform release and/or a minimum of one (1) year experience implementing and enhancing Performance Analytics.
Self-motivated to keep learning more about the ServiceNow platform, capabilities and best practices and apply/share them with teammates
ITIL Foundations Certification (v4 or higher).
Experience working on project teams that leverage Agile/Scrum.
A command of relational database concepts.

The likely salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
