Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

As a Service Technician, you will perform basic repairs on refrigerators, ice makers, and general appliances. You will be responsible for servicing all equipment, including ICEE and restaurant equipment, with minimal supervision. A clean driving record is essential as you will use a work vehicle for transportation. Experience in refrigeration, CFC, or Universal HVAC is required, along with basic electrical or mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive dispatched service calls and respond promptly based on estimated time of arrival (ETA).

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and diagnose service problems and repairs as needed.

• Check the quality of all products, such as syrup levels, changing flavors, and cleaning around machines.

• Maintain inventory and maintenance on equipment, including parts, tools, and vehicle.

• Review service orders and performed services with the FSM or supervisor, keeping managers informed of customer concerns, needs, and up-selling opportunities.

• Document all work performed and close out all activities upon completion.

• Ensure that the point of sale (POS) material is fresh.

• Communicate clearly with both customers and co-workers.

• In some locations, be responsible for machine movement and various other assigned duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years working as a service technician or mechanical aptitude.

• Graduate of Technical or Vocational School is a plus.

• Certification by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to handle refrigerant is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to lift 55 lbs or more on a regular basis, with occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs.

• Ability to drive more than 40% of the time.

• Must have steel-toed shoes (uniforms provided).

Work Environment

You will be required to travel to the work site each day, servicing customer sites within a 1-2 hour radius of Jacksonville, NC. The company provides a vehicle, uniforms, tools, cell phone, and gas card. Steel-toed shoes are required, and occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs may be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JACKSONVILLE, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
