Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities What to Expect Designs, executes and analyzes research for recommendations for solutions to support and uphold the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Marketing Division's vision to "Reach and inspire our community through creative engagement, ensuring their experience becomes part of our story." Creates actionable insights based on data and analysis. Provide Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights, best practices, and feedback to internal stakeholders to establish clear understanding of data to improve customer experience. Supports the team to use findings in an actionable and easy to understand manner. Supervises and trains graphic designers within the Marketing Division. Provides guidance on design principles, brand consistency, and best practices in visual communication. Conducts regular performance evaluations, sets goals, and identifies areas for skill development. Organizes and leads training sessions to keep the design team updated on industry trends, new technologies, and software updates. Supports the messaging needs of MCCS Lejeune-New River, MCCS Albany Marketing and Commercial Sponsorship, through strategies, management of websites and webpages, digital marquees, social media, and facility TV screens. Schedules or delegates placement of content across multiple digital media platforms. Drafts and edits website and webpage content to provide accurate digital presence for MCCS programs, events, and services. Edits graphic designs for the web that effectively communicate the mission and objectives of MCCS events and services. Ensures all digital content meets Depart of Defense (DoD) and United States Marine Corps (USMC) policy requirements. Creates and maintains internal and external MCCS event listing calendars. Maintains online payment system and liaises with MCCS Finance office to pull reports and ensure the accurate reception of payments. Trains MCCS and military stakeholders on roles and responsibilities when using digital media assets, to include emergency use protocol for crisis communications. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications What are we looking for? Three years' experience in graphic design, designing web pages and/or sites incorporating graphics, text, and navigation. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing or a closely related field may be substituted for experience. One-year supervisory experience to supervise; deal effectively with subordinates, management officials, and patrons, and to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Ability to uncover actionable insight from analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, social media, and project management systems. Knowledge of Windows Operating System using Adobe Creative Suite programs. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, HTML, CSS, and the Adobe Creative Suite family of design tools. Demonstrated experience managing tight deadlines and multiple schedules. Must have excellent written and oral presentation skills, and ability to communicate with all levels.
