Aerotek Wire Technician in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Wire Technician

Job Description

Engage in the manufacturing and assembly of industrial power systems. Responsibilities include wiring the power systems and assembling electrical components. The role requires reading schematics and engineering drawings for assembly and using hand and power tools such as power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures. This is a non-climate-controlled environment, and the assembler will be required to stand for the entire shift and may need to stand on ladders for assembly of units that can reach up to 8 feet in height.

Hard Skills

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, process sheets, or schematic drawings

  • Wiring electrical components

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools

  • Read tape measure

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment

This is a large, open bay production facility with multiple workstations and bays. The production floor is NOT climate-controlled. Industrial-sized ceiling fans keep the air moving, but it is not air-conditioned.
