ManpowerGroup Trailer Mechanic in Jacksonville, Florida

Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to join their team. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Trailer Mechanic

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay Range: $20-21 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on trailers, chassis, and containers.

  • Conduct major and minor repairs in accordance with established maintenance and safety standards.

  • Inspect and replace various components, including lights, tires, and mud flaps.

  • Complete repair orders and maintain shop cleanliness and safety compliance.

  • Support the culture of the organization by modeling core values and teamwork.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 1-2 years of container/chassis/trailer repair experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of electrical, brake, and air systems, as well as DOT inspections.

  • Basic welding skills such as Oxy/Acetylene and MIG; welding certification preferred.

  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
