We are hiring an experienced Sr. Manufacturing Production Supervisor for our EPP (Engineered Polymer Products) division in Jacksonville FL.

The Production Supervisor manages shop floor personnel and work cell team leaders, establishes and maintains continuous improvement initiatives and sets day to day goals of the work cell. Oversees cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.

This position is working onsite and located at our facility on Blount Island in Jacksonville FL.

What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for a team of production technicians

  • Ensures the work cell has a strong safety culture

  • Responsible for the quality, safety, schedule, morale and overall performance of the work cell

  • Support Root Cause/Corrective Action, PFMEA and APQP activities to lower operational risk

  • Support ergonomic and hazard activities to eliminate or reduce safety risk

  • Support design and set up of work cells using Lean manufacturing tools

  • Enforce 5S principles to ensure work cell organization and housekeeping

  • Responsible for leading tier 2 meetings and report out tier 3 meetings to senior IPT leaders everyday.

  • Responsible for improving effectiveness of the work area by performing real time problem resolution (RTPR) and working with the Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers and planners (IPT) to resolve the issues.

  • Ensure that team is staffed and trained to meet operational requirements on hold the team to the schedule to maintain OTD

  • Explains and enforces policies, practices and procedures of the work area.

  • Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of assigned work cell(s) to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own department, which may include external vendors.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant supervisory experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant supervisory experience is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
