Job Title: Sr. Accountant

Job Description

Our client is in need of a consultant to help with a large reconciliations project heading into the new year. This role will be heavily involved with catching up on a back-log of reconciliations due to recent growth and becoming a publicly traded organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed reconciliations of various accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.

  • Identify discrepancies and work with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.

  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • 5 – 7 years of experience

  • Proficiency in accounting and general ledger reconciliation

  • Experience with month-end closing procedures and journal entries

  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements

  • Familiarity with ERP systems for general ledger, accounts payable, and receivables

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong consulting role experience

Work Environment

  • This position is on-site on the west side. The work environment includes regular office hours, and you will be working closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager, financial analysts, and other accounting professionals.
