Job Title: Process Engineering Associate

1 st Shift: 8AM-5PM

Pay Rate: $34-$40 Hourly

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineering Associate to join our team. This role involves drafting, executing, and interpreting design of experiments (DOE) for manufacturing applications with a high degree of autonomy. The ideal candidate will be proficient in JMP and/or Minitab software and have a strong background in Six Sigma or statistical engineering tools. You will be responsible for organizing analyses, summarizing conclusions, and reporting findings both verbally and in written qualification/validation reports. Additionally, you will provide lab support for various testing equipment in the medical device industry and ensure compliance with medical device documentation practices within a GMP environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data analysis and lab support for manufacturing processes.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on protocol design, data analysis, report writing, and root cause investigations.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and increase output.

  • Support the design, setup, and data analysis for experiments on heat transfer systems related to foil package sealing processes.

  • Apply methodical root cause problem-solving approaches to investigate unexpected data results/trends.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required).

  • Demonstrated aptitude in statistical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 1-3 years of work experience in manufacturing, with a preference for high-speed manufacturing environments.

  • Proficiency with statistical tools in Minitab and/or JMP.

  • Experience in utilizing JMP or Minitab for Design of Experiments (DOE).

  • Strong skills in managing data sets in Excel.

  • Excellent report writing and communication skills. Must adhere to Good Documentation Practices

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Preferred:

  • Green Belt Certification in Six Sigma or certification in Statistical Engineering (SE) methodology.

  • Advanced experience in Excel, including writing macros and creating pivot tables.

  • Experience working with production personnel.

  • Familiarity with die heat seal processes for medical device primary packages.

  • Working knowledge of the Injection Molding Process.

  • Understanding of machining tolerances.
