Privacy Program Manager

The Privacy Program Manager will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities supporting EverBank's data privacy, data retention, and data compliance programs, including: (i) conducting and assisting business owners in completing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs); (ii) supporting EverBank's Privacy Program; (iii) executing and supporting the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) process; (iv) acting as the Securiti.ai system administrator; (v) supporting the day-to-day implementation of the programs; and (vi) having an overall integral role in executing general program roadmap initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conducts day-to-day data privacy, data compliance, and data retention activities, including performing PIAs and TIAs, drafting standards, and escalating issues and questions, as needed.

  • Possesses and maintains subject matter expertise of global and local privacy laws and regulations, such as, CCPA and GLBA, and assists in enterprise-wide educational efforts.

  • Serves as Securiti.ai system administrator including adding system users, ensuring the system functions properly, configuring the system and creating surveys with logic and risks.

  • Supports the internal team to further the completion of privacy-related vendor and other assessments, and reviews and ensures processes are executed and questions are addressed within a defined cadence.

  • Provides program and project support, including the development and maintenance of program(s) metrics, reporting, and collaborative sites.

  • Assists in the design, testing, implementation, enforcement and monitoring of data compliance standards and controls and partners with the business teams to further implement these standards and controls.

  • Enhances and administers processes for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking action on any complaints and incidents concerning data privacy in coordination and collaboration with senior business leadership, Chief Privacy Officer, Privacy Compliance Officer, legal counsel and other entities as applicable.

  • Collects, understands, and communicates business teams' applicable requirements to management to create informed action plans.

  • Engages with cross-functional stakeholders to embrace and champion “privacy-by-design”.

  • Demonstrates ability to interpret internally provided guidance to recommend best-practices to ensure data compliance in products and systems.

  • Manage one or more Privacy Analysts in support of the Bank Privacy Office.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

This is a Hybrid position. Hybrid work requires working a minimum of four days in the office with one flexible day for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work directly with Chief Privacy Officer and business units to identify potential compliance issues, analyze existing privacy processes for improvement, and create recommendations and enhancements, as needed.

  • 7+ years of experience with developing and training various lines of business on privacy threshold assessments, PII data flow diagrams, and data privacy impact assessments.

  • Hands on experience with Securiti.ai or similar platform

  • Great collaboration skills and a passion for understanding business requirements.

  • Experience working for a financial services firm.
