The Operational Technology Program Manager will play a leadership role in process automation, working closely with the Process Control Group Leaders at RYAM manufacturing sites to define and drive standards to maximize value out of our control systems, also implementing tools and accountability processes to affect positive change. This role will also act as a liaison for cybersecurity gap closure at the manufacturing sites, interfacing and mediating between the IT Dept and the various Process Control Group Leaders to minimize cyber risk. The OT Program Manager will also provide oversight for shared process automation initiatives such as controls performance assessment, intelligent energy management, etc. This position will involve intermittent travel to each site to establish key contacts and to ensure proper implementation of operational technology standards.

How you’ll shape the future of the Manufacturing Excellence Team:

• Lead formation of RYAM Process Automation Standards, collaborating with each of the site Process Group Leaders to build value-centric unified standards.

• Travel to each of the (4) manufacturing sites to oversee implementation of process automation standards, best practices, and tools.

• Drive tracking and reporting of key performance indicators, indicating adoption and effectiveness of process automation standards and tools.

• Act as a liaison, coordinator & mediator between the IT Dept and the manufacturing site Process Control Group Leaders to ensure OT cybersecurity risk gap identification and closure.

• Work closely with various departments to ensure secure integration of control systems and compliance with relevant security standards.

• Report out regularly to management on the status of company Process Automation / OT initiatives across the manufacturing sites.

• Up to 10% travel

You’ll be someone who can bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead change and work collaboratively with teams across different locations.

• Minimum of 10 years experience working in Process Control or Operational Technology, with experience in control systems such as Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa, APACS, Valmet DNA, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness and ability to travel to multiple manufacturing sites.

• Ability to refine and lead implementation of the RYAM vision around process automation.
