Aerotek Material Coordinator in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Title: Material Coordinator

Job Description: Join our team as a Material Coordinator and take on a variety of tasks including material handling, shipping, receiving, and packaging with minimal supervision. You'll coordinate workflow and monitor activities for one or more work centers, supporting our manufacturing and fabrication schedules. You'll work under the guidance of the Sr. Production Supervisor of Warehouse/Stockroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload various types of freight from incoming shipments.

  • Receive and store incoming materials, ensuring database accuracy for quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and other pertinent information.

  • Prepare items for shipment, validating identifying information, count, weight, size, and labels as required.

  • Collaborate with cell leaders to monitor work centers using dispatch reports and cell tact time analysis to ensure on-time start dates and completions.

  • Maintain effective communication with other Materials functions, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, and Manufacturing, as well as all operations support departments to meet schedule requirements.

  • Select specific components as indicated on work orders, adjust database entries to maintain component traceability and inventory accuracy.

  • Perform cycle counts, maintaining 95% accuracy levels per policy and procedure.

  • Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance and be on your feet for most of the day.

Shift: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm.

  • ERP system proficiency

  • Shipping & receiving

  • Computer skills (WDS or similar)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
