What You Will Do:

This Quality Inspector role will be supporting the F135 Jacksonville Depot. Applying industry standards and quality controls to the daily function of a jet engine maintenance shop to ensure the reliability, safety, and effectiveness of products and services. The individual will be working with and supporting the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast located at NAS JAX. This position will be responsible for visual inspecting and configuration checks of parts at receiving. They will also be responsible for F135 module visual inspection to include sourcing and receiving inspections. The individual will also be responsible for issuing non-conformance reports. This individual will also be responsible to supporting and leading investigations and driving open action items to closer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques. The Inspector will be accepting or rejecting material based on findings.

  • Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings; accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings.

  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, issue non-conformance reports, Quality Notifications

  • Assist others who are responsible for specialized inspection processes such as those found in statistical process control or other similar quality assurance programs.

  • Travel expected: 10 – 20%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Associate’s degree and 8+ years of experience in Military, Operations, Quality, Engineering or Inspection; OR High School Diploma or 2-year college degree (or other 2-year post high school technical training) and 10+ years of experience in

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active USG Secret Clearance

  • Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P)

  • Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT)

  • Knowledge of Quality standards including ISO9001, AS9110, AS9100, and AS9102.

  • Experience with Pratt & Whitney Quality Management Systems, inspection procedures and Quality standards.

  • Experience in F135, F119 and F100 engine overhaul and repair environment to include SAP.

  • F135, F119 and F100 Inspection experience and ability to use precision measuring equipment and techniques.

  • Experience in manufacturing environment, and working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret F135, F119 and F100 technical data, engine manuals and blueprints.

  • Experience with First Article Inspections and ability to navigate through MATRICs, NetInspect.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior management and customers.

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
