Position Summary

The Facility, Asset and HVAC Maintenance Assistant will assist the Facility Maintenance Lead. Working as a team with all maintenance personnel managing hangar operations and aircraft fleet. The Facility, Asset and HVAC Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting and monitoring the tracking and scheduling of all upcoming maintenance events. They must create the work orders system that includes opening work orders prior to scheduled maintenance and schedule them into maintenance and close them each week. The duties also include managing assets and the HVAC to improve daily operations and the overall facility maintenance effectiveness, operational efficiency of the site and other duties as assigned while also being able to perform the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Open work orders prior to maintenance and close work orders once complete by maintenance.

  • Complete discrepancy sheets of squawks or due events for the maintenance technician.

  • Update aircraft logbook binders to include event status sheets, Airworthiness Directives, etc.

  • Update and prepare logbook entries for sign-off by maintenance technicians and update original aircraft logbooks.

  • Submit invoices to the department, track delivery of parts, and ensure payment.

  • Manage inventory which includes ordering parts and cleaning supplies for operations.

  • Submit warranties and track through payment into the appropriate account.

  • Perform research for Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc.

  • Add Service Bulletins, Service Letters, etc., to pertaining aircraft in the RMS system.

  • Extract flight information from the G1000nxi data cards and input them into Google Earth.

  • Schedule oil and other hazardous waste pickups in addition to environmental supplies.

    Requirements

  • Current active-duty service-member within 4-6 months of separation/retirement.

  • Completion of respective service's TAPS/TGPS.

  • Must be able to complete a 91 day program.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

    Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and upon completion of the program be able to complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.

  • Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace . Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required.

  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.

  • Specific work hours are 0800-1600 / 0700-1500.
