Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who will be responsible for operating multiple machines, including Mill, Lathe, and CNC Water Jet. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-axis machines, using Mastercam, and writing programs for machines. You will be responsible for performing your own setups and changeouts of tooling. The parts you work on will vary in size, from as small as your hand to those requiring a forklift for movement. Familiarity with tight tolerances is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple machines including Mill, Lathe, and CNC Water Jet

• Use Mastercam to write programs for machines

• Perform own setups and changeouts of tooling

• Work with parts of varying sizes, from hand-sized to those needing a forklift

• Ensure compliance with tight tolerances

Essential Skills

• 2+ years experience with lathes

• 2+ years experience with CNC milling machines

• 2+ years experience in programming

• Experience changing out tooling and performing setups

• Familiarity with Haas machines

• Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers

• Ability to read blueprints

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with manual machining

• Knowledge of hydraulics and repair

• Experience with gearboxes

• Mechanical skills

• Experience in a shipyard environment

• Proficiency with manual lathe and mill

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
