Responsibilities
The Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) works under the delegation of the CNS and/or aligned nurse administrator to collaboratively improve the quality of patient care and promote desired patient outcomes in a designated population/specialty practice.
Qualifications
Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
Masters degree or higher and currently accepted/enrolled in CNS program highly preferred
Three years of successful work experience in nursing.
Additional Qualifications:
Hematology/oncology experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient needs and CRN workload. Master's degree preferred.
Two years in the specialty area preferred. Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
License or Certifications:
This RN job may require a RN license in multiple states.
The CRN will have five years to complete their CNS education and certification and APRN license - per individualized state requirements.
Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers), Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers), Military Training Network. Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
