Job Title: Civil Designer

Job Description

The Civil Designer will serve as a CAD/BIM designer in support of the Water Business Unit, preparing engineering construction documents for various clients and projects. The role involves supporting the overall vision and initiatives of the Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility design for municipal projects. This position requires competent technical skills to prepare utility designs, construction plans, and permit packages. The candidate will be a key contributor in fostering a culture of continued innovation, supporting our core objectives of finding and solving problems with critical thinking, while contributing to the continued success of the Water Business Unit and our clients.

Hard Skills

  • Degree or equivalent Civil AEC career experience (10 years min)

  • 5+ years’ experience working within Civil infrastructure (Water/Wastewater Preferred)

  • Software Proficiencies in: AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • JEA work experience highly preferred (3 years)

  • Experience working on Design-Build projects

  • Proficiency in Autodesk, Revit, AutoCAD

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Jacksonville, Florida and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid - work from home when preferred, Monday to Friday
