Position Summary

As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support for business-critical applications, assisting with issue resolution, and ensuring seamless functionality. Your experience with basic programming and SQL will enable you to troubleshoot effectively, perform data queries, and assist with minor system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for enterprise applications, troubleshooting issues and resolving them promptly.

• Analyze and resolve application performance issues, user errors, and software bugs.

• Write and execute basic SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and manipulate data.

• Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.

• Assist with minor application configuration and customizations using basic programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or VB).

• Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.

• Perform system and application testing after updates or changes.

• Support end-users by providing training and guidance on application functionality.

  Requirements

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in application support or a related role.

• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or a similar language).

• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.

• Technical Skills:

• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).

• Familiarity with application monitoring tools and issue tracking systems.

• Knowledge of APIs and basic integrations is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based applications and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

• Familiarity with ITIL practices or related certifications.

• Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
