Description

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant who is eager to advance their career in the insurance industry with our team. This role is vital to our operations and includes handling customer inquiries, maintaining comprehensive customer records, processing customer applications, and overseeing customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage customer inquiries, providing high-quality customer service

• Maintain current and accurate customer records

• Process customer applications with attention to detail and efficiency

• Oversee customer accounts and take necessary actions

• Respond to inbound calls and maintain communication via email

• Schedule appointments and manage inbound and outbound calls

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) for various tasks

• Carry out data entry tasks ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Apply underwriting skills, specifically in the commercial sector, as needed

• Engage in the process of underwriting commercial transportation risks

• Review submissions to identify risk exposure and determine accurate classifications, rates, and premium charges

• Participate in the marketing of products to retail insurance agents and brokers in coordination with management

• Communicate with management regarding individual accounts, current and proposed producers, and make recommendations concerning operations, systems, and procedures when appropriate

• Verify all policies and endorsements for completeness and accuracy, and follow up for corrections.

Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, ensuring clear and effective communication.

• Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service.

• Skilled in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to handle email correspondence in a detail oriented and timely manner.

• Experience with both inbound and outbound calls, maintaining a detail oriented and positive demeanor.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform data analysis and create reports.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, including managing calendars and setting up meetings.

• Proficient in creating presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Word for drafting letters, memos, and other documents.

• Ability to effectively schedule appointments, managing time and resources efficiently.

• Knowledge of underwriting in a commercial context is a plus.
