Job Summary
Acts as shift supervisor for a split shift schedule 10:30 am - 7 pm Monday - Friday. Coordinates activities of workers engaged in inbound receiving and outbound of products, including verifying and keeping records on inbound shipments, preparing items for put away, and managing product storage within the facility.
Principle Responsibilities
Review inbound and outbound schedules and other records to determine priorities,
Work assignments and equipment required to meet receiving schedules
oversees container unloading activities to ensure pallet accuracy, completeness, and condition.
Responsible for leading their shift in the efficient processing of freight
Including shipping, receiving, storing, and unloading for all customers. Ensures all receipts are completed in a timely manner
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance
Personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
Responsible for the safety and proper use of material handling equipment used by shift personnel.
Reports all OS&D goods to the Receiving Coordinator
Responsible for the adherence and execution of standardized procedures
Responsible for the correction and accuracy of all work performed under their supervision
Understands and applies Company policies and procedures
Maintain good housekeeping in the area and always adhere to established Company Safety policies.
Bilingual – English & Spanish speaking preferred
SAP and RF Experience
Serves as an example to subordinates and enforces all applicable safety rules
Follow and enforce processes that pertain to shipping to customers of MAT.
Able to administer forklift training to new employees.
Able to interact with freight companies and proper handling of shipping documents.
Competencies:
Must have 1 year of previous supervisory experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to obtain a forklift license through the Company
Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required
Ability to think clearly, take initiative, and work independently
Must have previous computer experience, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
Education
High school diploma or G.E.D.
1+ year experience in a supervisory role
Must be able to obtain a forklift license through the Company
