Job Summary:

The Forklift/Material Handler ensures smooth operations within the production area. This position is responsible for moving materials and products safely and efficiently using stand-up forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Key duties include loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials to designated locations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting in organizing the production floor. The role requires attention to safety protocols, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support production goals.

  • REQUIRED: ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE OPERATING A STANDUP LIFT AND AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORTING PRODUCTION LINES.

  • Ability to meet attendance standards per company policy.

  • Knowledge and prior experience in material handling supporting production line or area.

  • Must be able and willing to cross-train within all functions of the Production area.

  • Operate stand-up lifts safely and efficiently to move materials and products.

  • Communicate with Supervisors and Team Leaders via radio to request products for production lines; professional communication is required.

  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines to maintain continuous operations.

  • Perform regular equipment checks and basic maintenance on forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts as needed.

  • Follow all safety protocols and always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse or production area.

  • Identify and report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize material flow and storage efficiency.

  • Adapt to changing production schedules and priorities as directed by supervisors.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.

  • ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE OPERATING A STANDUP LIFT AND AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN SUPPORTING PRODUCTION LINES. 

  • Must have at least one year of experience driving a standup forklift.

  •   Must have at least one year of experience supporting Production Lines

  •   Ability to be self-motivated to support the production lines assigned

  •   High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  •   Relevant experience within the last 2 years.
