JOB SUMMARY:

Work in all areas of the facility to ensure quality metrics are reported and maintained. Maintaining corrective actions, calibration, certification in ASME and UL 1450 will also be areas of responsibility. This person will work closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Distribution, and External Customers. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintaining ASME Code Certification and UL/CSA compliance

  • Maintaining the Gage and Instrument Calibration Program throughout the facility

  • Assisting in daily quality issues that impact production or new products

  • Analyze and report quality metrics to management.

  • Foster Supplier and Customer Relations and generate Corrective Actions as directed

  • Responsible for Quality System Maintenance.

  • Develop or assist in Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.

  • Assist manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.

  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system as well as aiding in corrective actions for any area in the facility.

  • Develop training to build quality awareness.

  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.

  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.

  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.

  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.

  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.

  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.

  • Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.

  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.

  • Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.

  • Preparation of QA reports.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Experience and Knowledge of Welding Processes and Metal Fabrication required

  • AWS CWI Certification preferred

  • Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is a plus

  • Working Knowledge of GageTrak Calibration Software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in Six Sigma

  • Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Position requires travel both domestic and overseas.
