Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class Quality Assurance team combines extensive knowledge of quality processes with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to ensure our products meet the highest standards. Here, you’ll interact daily with various departments to maintain and improve quality standards and will partner with key stakeholders to support our business objectives and customer satisfaction.

How will you make a difference?

The Manager of Quality Assurance will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the Quality Assurance Process designed to ensure quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards. You will manage and support the Quality Team across two locations, oversee cost-effective operations of the Quality Control Department, and ensure all relevant quality issues are communicated to the General Manager or Director of Quality. Your role will involve developing strategies, managing quality documentation, and driving continuous improvements to support product reliability and quality costs.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Four-year college degree or university program certificate with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; or +15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in managing and supporting quality teams across multiple locations.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, counsel, and discipline employees.

  • Knowledge of ISO and AAR management systems.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

  • Proficiency in creating quality reports and managing corrective actions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, suppliers, and customers.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Develop a high-performance Quality Team capable of fueling growth in alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Supervise staff, including hiring, employee communications, training, discipline, evaluation, and termination responsibilities.

  • Coordinate maintenance and safety activities to ensure a safe workplace with optimally maintained equipment.

  • Oversee the implementation and management of quality assurance procedures and documentation.

  • Create monthly quality, COPQ, and other required reports.

  • Manage and help maintain ISO and AAR management systems.

  • Develop corrective actions and support the CAR process.

  • Manage the Customer PPAP process.

  • Conduct quarterly management reviews.

  • Represent YT Quality during corporate quality council meetings.

  • Provide leadership and coaching to all associates regarding quality.

  • Assist in the resolution of quality problems with suppliers and customers.

  • Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with all levels of management, associates, suppliers, and customers.

What about the physical demands of the job?

  • Standing, observing small writing and labels, climbing, wearing PPE, talking, and hearing.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
