General Purpose: Perform a wide variety of accounting with a focus in accounts receivable and the general ledger. In this role, you will be responsible for calculating, posting, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records, including monthly general ledger closing. Accounts receivable duties include: handling billing, collection, and reporting in adherence to specific deadlines; maintain the billing system; follow up on collections; prepare reconciliation of accounts; monitor customer non-payments; process cash payments; and resolve client queries and communicate with clients; Duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department and staffing levels. Education Requirements: 4 year degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance Knowledge and Experience: 2 years of experience in related area required and a desire to learn; excellent oral and written communication skills; knowledge of computers and MS Office specifically Excel and use of spreadsheets; type and enter data at a speed necessary for successful job performance; understand and follow oral and written instructions
