SOL Engineering, LLC is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager who will be responsible for managing daily preventive and corrective Quality Control activities on Federal government projects. The candidate must be able to conduct Quality Control Meetings, perform inspections, review submittals, and ensure testing is performed. In addition, the candidate must be able to prepare all quality control certifications and documents and have Federal Transit Administration (FTA) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Control and distribute all of the company’s quality documentation.

  • Perform internal and external audits.

  • Verify contractor quality requirements and contractor documentation submittals.

  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities.

  • Supervise effective implementation and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.

  • Manage and audit Corporate ISO-9000 procedures.

  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs.

  • Manages, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, services, and products.

  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to inform management of current status or work activities.

  • Plans, promotes, and organizes activities related to quality and reliability.

  • May investigate customer complaints regarding quality and make appropriate adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction, or field related to quality management.

  • Minimum of 3 years of quality management experience on large capital projects, with at least 2 years as Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) manager in Design, FTA experience, and PMP certification preferred.

  • Experience in creating at least one quality management plan or system for an agency or significant revision of an agency’s existing plan or system.

  • Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certification, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or at least 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Quality Inspector, Quality Process Analyst, or Reliability Engineer.

  • Expertise in conflict resolution.

  • Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability.

  • Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to MS Project, etc.
