PURPOSE:
The Director, Engagement Marketing plays a critical role in driving participant engagement, retention and revenue growth. This role has responsibility for leading a cross-functional engagement team, as well as designing and iterating on the participant communication strategy. This role will focus on creating and executing personalized marketing campaigns, enhancing the user experience and leveraging data insights to optimize performance. The Director of Engagement demonstrates advanced technical and thought leadership capabilities. They will connect ideas to outcomes and provide actionable, creative insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
• Develop and implement data-driven engagement marketing strategies aligned with company goals
• Oversee the creation and execution of personalized engagement campaigns, including integrating and orchestration of email, SMS, in-app notifications, push notifications and live services interventions
• Lead a cross-functional team to identify, prioritize, and action upon projects and tests to improve engagement
• Monitor KPIs and metrics to measure journey performance in support of product engagement and retention
• Track participant engagement, identify and analyze trends, identify areas of focus and improvement.
• Leverage data analytics to understand customer behaviors, preferences, and trends
• Design and oversee execution of engagement strategy for new products and program elements
• Map participant marketing engagement journeys to identify opportunities for improved engagement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills
• Understanding of SalesForce Marketing Cloud
• Demonstrated strategic thinking ability, both short and long-term
• Ability to analyze data and provide actionable outputs.
• Experience coaching and growing a team.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders.
• Expert communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to convey concepts creatively, logically, and concisely
• Understanding of industry is preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: 
- BA/BS required.Degree in Communications or English preferred.
Experience: 
- Minimum 10years of experience in product, engagement, marketing, communications, or related field. Experience with user engagement and the user journey preferred. Understanding of both marketing and product tactics. Experience working with remote teams across varied time zones.
GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office working conditions can be remote work from home or in the office. Each department head determines if position is work from home or hybrid meaning works from home and in the office as needed. Work schedules vary. When working in the office pod workstation area has little or no privacy. Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation performing computer duties. Constant flow of interruptions by personnel, visitors to the area and telephone calls. Private workstations are available as needed. Certain positions are assigned to an office.
