MMI Dining Systems has an opening for an Assistant Food Service Director in the Jackson, MS area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys ensuring children receive a tasty and nutritional meal. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to work hours that are similar to the schools. The Assistant Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing the staff, menu planning, ordering, inventory, production and serving of meals.

If hospitality is in your DNA with experience working in foodservice management and understand that a quality food service operation includes purchasing, budgeting, cost controls along with maintaining a staff that functions in a friendly and efficient manner this could be the job for you!

The individual must have thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and student/factuality interaction. Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions.

Unless there is a special event, the work schedule is Monday – Friday following the school calendar. Weekends off and no late evenings.
