Student Services serves as an essential nexus between Johnson's students and its faculty and staff and, in that, oversees all aspects of the student experience. This encompasses Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Services, the Registrar's Office, and Student Activities & Events.


Enrollment representatives within Cornell's colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the Enrollment Division to accomplish the University's enrollment goals.


The Opportunity


Are you a detail-oriented professional passionate about higher education and student success? We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Registrar Coordinator to join our team at the prestigious Weill Johnson Executive MBA/MS Healthcare Leadership Program and the Johnson MPS Management Program. This pivotal role, based in Ithaca, NY, serves as the primary point of contact for in-person interactions and the key liaison between our programs and the Registrar's Office.


Key Responsibilities


Student Records Management:

  • Act as the lead liaison for the Weill-Johnson Executive MBA/MS Program and the MPS Management Program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university data privacy regulations.
  • Advise students on course selection and graduation requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Registrar during course planning to verify academic curriculum information.
  • Oversee the collection and entry of class grades and grade changes into the PeopleSoft system.
  • Maintain reports on student matriculation, enrollment status, and academic progress.
  • Monitor graduation progress and notify relevant staff of any issues.
  • Maintain petitions, changes, and exceptions to program curriculum and graduation requirements in PeopleSoft.
  • Communicate effectively with students through email and phone.
  • Assist with degree postings and ensure accurate diploma listings.

Coordination of Class and Faculty Evaluations:

  • Coordinate and conduct class and faculty evaluations for all Johnson courses using the SmartEvals system.
  • Notify faculty and students of evaluation schedules and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data loaded into the SmartEvals system.
  • Develop and maintain communication plans for evaluation notifications and follow-ups.
  • Work with SmartEvals representatives to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and publish statistical reports for review by senior leadership.

Office Operations:

  • Manage triage duties for incoming emails and assign response tasks to staff members.
  • Handle walk-in student and faculty traffic and incoming phone calls.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in special projects and support Orientation and Graduation activities.
  • Handle standard inquiries and correspondence.

What We Need

  • Associate's degree with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills: must be able to effectively prepare written memos/emails.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Effective organizational practices with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Salesforce systems.
