Ithaca College ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - PRACTICE IN FINANCE in Ithaca, New York

The Ithaca College School of Business invites applications for a full-time tenure eligible Assistant Professor of Practice in Finance beginning Fall 2025. Duties include teaching assigned classes in finance (five courses per year); building industry partnerships; participating in service to the institution and profession; and advising students. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in courses in personal financial planning and wealth management spaces.

Qualifications:

Candidates should hold an MBA, MS or PhD in Finance (ABDs with an expected completion date of Aug. 2025 may also be considered) with a minimum of 5 years of recent industry experience in the areas of personal financial planning/wealth management or investment. Professional certifications such as CFP, CFA, CAIA, or FRM are desirable, as is prior college teaching experience. Candidates must demonstrate the potential to engage in professional engagement activities sufficient to establish or maintain AACSB qualification as an Instructional Practitioner (IP), Scholarly Practitioner (SP), or Practice Academic (PA).

Hiring Range:

$136,000 - $145,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
