Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various HVAC systems, including refrigeration units, chillers, condensers, package units, roof top units, and split systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units

  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems

  • Repair refrigeration HVAC units

  • Maintain and repair chillers and condensers

  • Service package units, roof top units, and split systems

  • Install and fit HVAC systems

  • Handle piping, threading, and brazing tasks

  • Conduct boiler repairs and chiller repairs

  • Read and interpret blueprints

  • Perform welding and installation tasks as required

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience with HVAC installation and fitting

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC units

  • Skilled in HVAC refrigeration and repair

  • Experience with preventative maintenance on HVAC systems

  • Ability to work with chillers, condensers, package units, roof top units, and split systems

  • Knowledge of piping, threading, and brazing

  • Capability to read blueprints and perform welding tasks

  • 5+ years of experience in the field

  • Clean MVR

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • SST 10 certification (preferred, not required)

Work Environment

The role involves service calls throughout NYC, working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The environment is dynamic and requires travel to various locations to address service calls.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
