Genesis Corp dba Genesis10 Technology and Data - Network Engineer 3 - Contingent in Iselin, New Jersey
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Iselin, NJ. This is a 24+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Network Engineering deliverables
- Review and analyze moderately complex Network Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Network Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with client personnel in Network Engineering
- Participate in the coordination, installation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure with a focus on enterprise network, supporting our Data Center exits into a new Data Center operating model
- Provide technical support to end users via troubleshooting skills across both network and system applications
- Integrate, consolidate and maintain network services across but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices
- Coordinate, design, implement and validate in accordance with our latest architectural design standards, implementation, and validation through best practices
Requirements:
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environment
- 3+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static), specializing in implementing DDoS mitigation strategies and configuring ACLs in a large enterprise environment
- 3+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience, education
- 3+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line
Desired Skills:
- CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred - Datacenter
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering and/or 3+ years of Networking experience
- Demonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams
- Experience working in a Product/Agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira products
- Experience and familiarity with Change control processes - Service Now
- Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio Professional
- Experience with regulatory and auditor collaboration
- Experience preferred with scripting YAML/Python/Ansible/GITHUB
- Ability to make decisions quickly in a high-volume hosting environment
- Ability to solve complex problems and analyze issues
- Ability to coordinate, document and drive flawless execution
