Description

We are looking for a diligent Payroll Administrator to join our team in the government sector, based near Middlesex County, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate records, and resolving payroll-related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Handle payroll operations for approximately 300 employees on a bi-weekly basis.

• Process time sheets efficiently, ensuring no errors and all approvals are in place.

• Manage payroll transmissions using ADP and Oracle WAM systems.

• Update system for any changes in employee time off requests and other payroll-related modifications.

• Calculate and manage employees' 401k and disability benefits.

• Track workers' compensation claims and handle related administrative tasks.

• Ensure all month-end and year-end journal entries related to payroll are accurately posted.

• Resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries related to payroll.

• Assist in transitioning to new software systems as required.

• Work independently and also collaborate closely with the existing payroll team.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must for the successful execution of payroll tasks.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is essential for this role.

• Experience with Ceridian and Crystal Reports will be highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration is required to manage employee benefits effectively.

• Familiarity with About Time software will be beneficial for efficient time tracking.

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is needed for performing financial tasks accurately.

• Auditing skills are required to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

• Ability to perform Benefit Functions is crucial for managing employee benefits effectively.
