Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our forward-thinking finance team. This role will primarily revolve around managing and improving our accounting operations, making strategic financial recommendations, and securing the financial health of our institution. This position will operate on a hybrid schedule and requires in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities: Overseeing accounting operations, including General Ledger / Bank Reconciliations. Preparing financial reports and statements in compliance with official regulations and standards. Assisting in forecast and budget development while comparing them to actuals. Conducting regular financial analysis, preparing financial forecasts and reports. Managing the preparation of all statutory filing, tax returns, and internal auditing. Ensuring compliance with all internal control policies and procedures. Assisting with the setup, testing, and maintenance of accounting systems. Offering mentorship and guidance to entry level accounting staff. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is a plus). A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role in the financial industry. Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In-depth experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning. Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage a significant plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
