Job Description:

We are currently looking to hire Virtual Internet Gateway Engineer. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the virtual gateway infrastructure that allows secure internet access for client's network and cloud environments. The Engineer will focus on optimizing connectivity, security, and performance for remote users, branches, or cloud resources. This role requires a solid mix of networking, cloud technologies, and security expertise, with a focus on virtual environments and internet access management!

Key Responsibilities:

• Design configuration, and deployment of Virtual Internet Gateways in cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Design of routing policies, NAT configurations, and traffic management strategies.

• Manage virtual internet gateways for performance, reliability, and security.

• Development of scripts or to use required tools to automate gateway configuration and monitoring (ex: ARMT used in ANIRA).

• Maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting manuals.

• Generate reports on internet gateway usage, performance metrics, and incident resolutions.

• Collaborate with cloud architects, network engineers, and security teams to align VIG operations with broader IT goals.

• Liaise with 3rd party vendors (for ex: DIGI or Accelerated) to resolve critical issues and development of new features.

• Integrate internet gateways with Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) or other network services.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in monitoring and management tools for cloud environments (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).

• Proven experience with Virtual Internet Gateways in cloud platforms like AWS (Internet Gateway, NAT Gateway), Azure (Virtual Network Gateway), or Google Cloud (Cloud NAT).

• Strong understanding of networking concepts: IP routing, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN, IP Routing.

• Experience with advanced security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls, to protect data flows.

• Familiarity with load balancers, and traffic shaping.

• Experience with tools such as Terraform (or) CloudFormation.

• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud networking solutions.

• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, etc.).

• Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and software-defined networking (SDN).

• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Networking, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect)!
