Citigroup Vice President, Control Testing Automation Design Analyst (Hybrid) in Irving, Texas

The Control Testing Automation Design Analyst is a senior level position responsible for providing thought leadership in the technical design of control testing automation solutions, as well as overseeing the progression of automation requests across all phases of the deployment lifecycle (requirements grooming, design, development, validation, production deployment).

This position reports to the Control Testing Automation Leader within the Central Automation Solutions Utility and is an execution-oriented individual contributor position accountable for driving the deployment of control testing automation solutions. This is accomplished through robust data and analytics disciplines, standardized design/development processes, establishment of best practices and strong partnership/collaboration with Technology and the Control Testing Utility.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as an Automation Architect by translating business requirements into a technical design spec that can be easily executed against by the automation development team.

  • Identifying the specific data sources, and underlying data elements, that will be used to automate control testing solutions (full-file control testing vs sample-based).

  • Developing code (SAS, SQL, Python) to interrogate data sources (Teradata, Hadoop, SAS Grid, etc.) and validate starting population and exception logic.

  • Producing a standardized, handoff package to document the technical requirements needed for accelerated code development.

  • Serving as technical subject matter expert in the tools and capabilities leveraged in the deployment of automated control testing solutions (SAS/SQL/Python development, low-code automation tools, etc.)

  • Executing initial data quality assessment on required input data sources as well as performing internal validation of automated control testing solution results.

  • Formulating and defining scope and objectives for complex, high-impact automated control testing solutions and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards.

  • Leading and managing automation request stories through JIRA workflow management tool and overseeing progress from Grooming through Deployment.

  • Collaborating with Automation Design Analyst peers on best practices and code reusability opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with the collection / drafting of business requirements, including translation of business requirements to technical mappings

  • 5+ years of data analytics/business analytics experience

  • 5+ years of SAS, SQL, Python or comparable programming experience

  • Knowledge and experience using modern agile management tools such as JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience in managing complex projects, requiring collaboration across multiple teams

  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence business and technology stakeholders across levels within an organization on complex technical concepts

  • Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network

  • Ability to lead continuous improvement efforts with teams by implementing take-aways from retrospectives and contributing to implement concrete solutions to make deliverables efficient

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is required.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
