Vistra Senior Analyst, Portfolio and Budget Optimization in Irving, Texas

Job Summary

As part of the Strategic Planning and Performance Management team, the Specialist I is responsible for customer retention budget & transaction planning for the Residential line of business. This role works closely with marketing channel owners and the finance teams to evaluate opportunities and set targets for go to market strategies.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Lead collaborative process to develop robust, marketing transaction and budget forecasts that reflect thoughtful strategic planning, collaboration/coordination with channel managers, financial discipline and creative thinking.

•Develop and present campaign and channel-specific key drivers/metrics.

•Calculate and forecast profitability of campaigns; perform sensitivity analysis for key assumptions and market scenarios.

•Prepare business case evaluations, including NPV and ROI calculations, and provide leadership with recommendations on channel proposals.

•Provide insight on Customer Lifetime Value and develop cost benefit analysis for a wide array of retention activities

•Perform strategic marketing analysis and make recommendations on channel mix and spend optimization.

•Develop presentations and lead regular management discussions on marketing objectives, strategies, tactics, and performance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

•5-7+ years related work experience; relevant work experience includes financial analysis, executive level reporting, accounting entries and data analysis

•Understanding of general accounting principles

•Advanced understanding of excel and experience using Snowflake, Python and Tableau

•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Key Metrics

•On time and accurate delivery of marketing spend tracking, transaction planning and accurate forecasts

•Creating and maintaining sustainable and accurate dashboard reporting

•Ability to manage and forecast spend performance and develop insightful spend tracking and visibility.

•Effective communications and presentations with senior leadership

•Ability to work cross functionally and hold other teams accountable for on-time and accurate contributions to processes
